Japan has 4 seasons plus rainy season. Now is at the midst of rainy season, really muggy with lots of rainy days. Nevertheless, there are several clear sunny days between them. Kyoto in the western area of Japan, famous as an old capital , is always busy with many visitors all the year round due to its popularity. However , if you want to go there while avoiding crowds as much as possible, now might be the time. Not so busy as other seasons, and we might luckily have sunny days or cloudy days with no rain.
